It has been cold and rainy since the middle of last week and it showed no sign of letting up until Sunday. Nothing to do, but fortunately, we received an invite to my in laws for the weekend. Seeing now the three kids were driving us insane couped up in our own house, we decided to take them up on their offer immediately and within a few hours, we found ourselves driving down for the weekend. On Saturday, we went to Kidfest as the State Fair Park. Not really a big deal for our kids, but if you had older kids, it looked more interesting. On Sunday, our family, my in laws, and my brother in law and his wife and daughter went to a nearby river walk that ended in a cool kids playground that was made up like a fort.
