We went to a party last night. Laura went as a princess. Emma went as a movie star - her words. She refused all of the choices offered to her by Cheryl. Instead, she took a feather boa and wrapped it around her neck and said that she was a "movie star". Jonathan went as a junior zookeeper. He had a cute little outfit and her carried around a little lion flashlight. Laura loved to dance around. Emma did not want to go today, but had a very good time after she got there. The kids got a ride on a privately owned firetruck. One of Cheryl's colleges, bought and restored a fire truck. It has a food service license, because it has pizza ovens on it. While there was no pizza served, the kids could ring the bell and turn the lights and siren on.
Early on Saturday, Laura went to a nursing home with Cheryl. One of the residents asked if she was Cheryl's grandchild. She came home with her bucket of candy, she went downstairs and gave a piece to Emma, went back upstairs and brought a piece down to me. She repeated this a number of times. But no candy for mom.
When Emma saw Laura dressed up as a princess, she said that Laura was dressed up as a "little girl".
Cheryl and the kids made pizza yesterday. Jonathan rolled the dough, Emma spread the flour, and Laura snitched the dough.
