Today, while we were in Fond du Lac, I dropped Cheryl and the girls where Laura gets her speech therapy and Hudson and I went to the court house to file for re-adoption for Hudson. But you say that we all ready adopted him, why do we have to do it again? The Federal Government has already issued him a certificate of citizenship. That's called Federalism (if you want to know more, email me). Well, then we can have a state issued birth certificate which allows school, drivers license (not for a long time) passport, etc. The ladies at the probate court were very nice and gave Hudson some M&M's. They told me that this is the first foreign readoption this year. They said it has really slowed down.
So, on Tuesday, November 25 at 1:30 p.m., at the 2nd Floor intake courtroom, at the Fond du Lac County Government complex in downtown Fond du Lac, the State of Wisconsin will acknowledge us as his real parents. Afterwards, the judge will allow us to take his picture with Hudson. Friends and family are invited. Let us know if you are coming.
