We have been involved for sometime in the planning a multisite church plant. We have a significant number of people travel to our church from this city or the area. After about two years we are going to start meeting in a rental hall in the near future. Everything is going to be live, except the preaching, which will be by DVD made that morning at a earlier service at the mother church. Sometimes, there will be live preaching at the multisite by our pastor, and the mother church will see a DVD of the pastor preaching. By doing this, we all share resources, such as a pastor, music director and youth director and elders. We at the multisite are still part of the church, but possibly have the option of someday going on our own.
Yesterday, we had a picnic with all the people who are interested in being involved.
