Greetings to you all back in the States....
We have had a fast and furious few days.We loved Beijing. Saw Forbidden city and the Tiennamon Square at night. Other than being snowed in Milwaukee, we have made all of our connections with no difficulty. Health, food, and companionship have been wonderful...I would love to have stayed on in Beijing. Such a culture in contrasts. We saw mule pulling cart in the countryside to huge sky scrapers. We are currently in Hong Kong.
Hong Kong has been very interesting. We toured Victorias peak (highest point in HK), Aberdeen fishing village, Stanley Market, and had a dim sum lunch. Dim sum lunch is where they bring out 10 courses and place it on a large lazy susan. Everyone shares family style. We love real Chinese Food. Aberdeen Fishing village is a small group of fisherman who live on houseboats....We also went to a jewelry factory tour. I kept wanting to ask... but where is the costume jewelry...It was over 300 dollars for anything that I liked. Stanley market is an open air market for expatriats.
Love you all. We are going to get hudson tomarrow in Nanchang...He will be a very welcome addition to our family...Spirited like Emma and laughing like laura.
