Going away, then BAMM

We had the perfect weekend planned. Movie, fireproof 9:20 pm showing. Mom had offered to watch the kids after they went to bed. Saturday, we were planning to go to a big train show in Milwaukee. We had gone just short of halfway there, when in a flash, a big deer ran in front of the van. In Wisconsin, you can expect to hit a deer. I have "expected" this three times now. I have to be way above average on this. Some hunt with a rifle, black powder or bow and arrow. I use a van. We stopped and determined that everyone was OK (except the deer, Emma says the deer had an "owee"). Then, although I determined that the van was not leaking any coolant, I decided we should go home. On Saturday, Cheryl went to the lumber yard to buy pink styrofoam in the rain for the Christmas train layout. It barely fit in the minivan. Emma and I went to the bank, Walmart, and VFW 50 sale, and the dollar store. We started carving down the pink styrofoam. I would make notches in it and Laura would kick it to break in in piece.

To put the styrofoam together to build up mountains, I tried to putting acetone on it, but it did not stick well...I used my scapbooking glue.. will see if it holds. We started putting up the Christmas train layout using, like last year, GEOTRACKS. So far we have two large evergreens, two small rubber cows, and an oversized elephant on the Layout.
Here are some pics of that. Tomorrow, Hudson will be dedicated at church.

UPDATE:
Hudson was dedicated at church, the girls came upfront with us. We came home and Cheryl made pizza and cookies with the kidss. Laura is covered in flour. Here are some more pics from today.
